Srna believes that the G-20 summit in Brazil can bring peace in Ukraine closer

Shakhtar’s sports director Dario Srna told the Brazilian media that the Donetsk club appreciates the legionnaires who, during the full-scale phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war, agreed to move or return to the “Miners” camp.

“I have great respect for the players who have come to our club in recent years, despite the war. They have not known war until now. They showed courage and proved that we are still a big club,” Srna said.

The Croat also expressed hope that at the G-20 summit, which will be held in Brazil from November 18 to 19, world leaders will be able to bring the date of the end of the war in Ukraine closer.

“The summit in Brazil is an opportunity for the most influential countries in the world to discuss various topics, and the invasion of Ukraine is certainly one of them. We hope that world leaders will find a way to finally bring peace to Ukraine. There have already been too many deaths in more than two and a half years, and this meeting may be of decisive importance for finding a solution,” said Srna.

Previously, the midfielder of the “Miners” Pedrinho said that if possible, he would like to ask the President of Brazil Lula da Silva to help establish peace in Ukraine as soon as possible.
