According to reporter Ruben Carter, the match will take place on May 9, 2026 – both sides have almost agreed on all terms.
Verhoeven is a versatile fighter with a record of 66-10 (21 KOs) in kickboxing, as well as one fight each in boxing and MMA, both of which ended in victory.
The initiative to hold the match belongs to the head of the General Directorate of Entertainment of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheikh.
