Details: According to the investigation, in October 2024, officials of the military unit in Khmelnytskyi region organized a scheme that allowed servicemen to stay off duty and receive financial support for a monetary reward.

Extras identified soldiers who did not want to serve, but wanted to remain in the staff of the unit.
Then they were sent to work at a technical service station in the Kyiv region, where they repaired private cars and actually earned money in the interests of an acquaintance of one of the officials.
So far, four military personnel have been identified, who repaired private cars in the Kyiv region under this scheme for more than a year, working for the benefit of an acquaintance of one of the suspected officials and receiving money.

According to operational data, the amount of losses to the state in the form of unjustified payments may exceed UAH 1 million, since the scheme has been operating for more than a year.
The SBI is currently examining the unit’s service records to determine the exact extent of the damage and identify others who may have been involved.

Officials were notified of suspicion for:
Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 5 of Art. 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of official authority by a military official, committed under martial law by prior conspiracy by a group of persons;
Part 5 of Art. 27, Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 4 of Art. 409 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — aiding in the evasion of a serviceman’s duty under martial law, also by prior conspiracy by a group of persons.
Those involved face up to 12 years in prison for such actions.
The prosecutor’s office notes that the court imposed preventive measures on the suspects, and in addition, they were suspended from their positions.
