Yanina Sokolova told her version of the conflict with ex-Minister of Economy Tymofiy Mylovanov. According to the TV presenter, the current president of the Kyiv School of Economics assured in private conversations that her foundation’s psychological assistance project will receive a grant, but an official application must be submitted.
– In September, during an online meeting, Tymofiy Mylovanov promised to help with the financing of the project and later informed me about the positive decision of the budget committee in an SMS and that can allocate funds, but a formality is required, she wrote on her Facebook.
Sokolova also published part of her correspondence with Mylovanov. As a result, in two months, the board of directors of the fund decided to allocate funds to another project.
The TV presenter did not apologize for what she wrote to the ex-minister that in the region where she grew up, “they will be punished for such a thing”. She accused him of publishing only this from the correspondence, and denied that he was threatening Mylovanov in this way. Yanina Sokolova also wrote that Tymofiy Mylovanov deleted all her comments under his Facebook post.
– Several people wrote to me yesterday evening about a similar story of relations with Timofey. This is probably the norm for him. That’s why I shared it with you, so that you don’t trust it. And had nothing to do with this person, – she concluded.
A day ago, Tymofiy Mylovanov wrote on Facebook that the committee of the KSE charity fund refused to grant a grant to Yanina Sokolova. The committee decided that there are other projects that fit the criteria better. This does not mean that the project is bad. Mylovanov added that a refusal is a common thing, but Sokolova wrote him “a bunch of motherfuckers, threats and promised to respond.”
In his comments, Mylovanov admitted that he had told Sokolova that money for the project would “probably be given.” In his opinion, the money was given to another project because the project description was weak. He explained that he published part of the private correspondence because he “began to be threatened.”
- On November 12, Tymofiy Milovanov denied that he is a candidate for the position of ambassador of Ukraine to the United States.
- In May, Ukrainians criticized the advertisement of Yanina Sokolova’s psychological aid fund with the words “You can’t get out of depression.”
