Soboleva was defeated in the qualification of the WTA 250 tournament in Ostrava

Ukrainian tennis player Anastasia Soboleva (WTA 265) finished her performances at the WTA 250 tournament in Ostrava (Czech Republic), which takes place on indoor hard courts.

In the first round of selection, the Ukrainian lost in two sets without much chance Gabrieli Knutson (Czech Republic, WTA 176) in 1 hour and 16 minutes.

This was the first face-to-face confrontation between the rivals.

Soboleva played her first WTA match since the end of December 2024, when she competed in the 500 qualifier in Brisbane.

In total, Anastasia played in the qualification of the WTA tournament for the sixth time – twice she entered the main draw (WTA 250 Cluj-Napoca 2023 and WTA 250 Prague-2024).

In the final of the selection Knutson will play against her compatriot Vendula Valdmannova (WTA 321).
