On Tuesday, the weather will be cloudy with clearing throughout the country. Light snow is expected during the day, in places during the day. Only at night in most southern regions no precipitation is forecast.
There will be ice on the roads almost throughout Ukraine, which can complicate traffic and increase the risk of accidents. The wind is westerly at a speed of 7–12 m/s, and in the afternoon in the western regions, as well as in the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, gusts of up to 15–20 m/s are possible.
The air temperature at night will vary between 1 and 6 degrees of frost. Forecasters predict even colder weather in the northeast of the country – up to minus 9 degrees. During the day, the temperature will range from 4 degrees of frost to 1 degree of heat, and in the extreme south the air may warm up to 2-4 degrees of heat.
A separate situation is in the Carpathians. Moderate snow is expected in mountainous areas. At night, the temperature there will drop to 6-11 degrees of frost, during the day the thermometers will show from minus 3 to minus 8 degrees.
It will also be cloudy with clearings and light snow in Kyiv and the Kyiv region on Tuesday. There is ice on the roads. West wind, 7–12 m/s. In the capital, 4-6 degrees of frost are forecast at night, 1-3 degrees of frost during the day. In the region, the temperature at night will be 1-6 degrees of frost, during the day – from minus 4 to plus 1 degree.
Forecasters emphasize that such weather conditions can make movement difficult for both drivers and pedestrians. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center urges you to be careful on the roads, keep your distance and do not ignore winter safety rules. “Icy and gusty winds can significantly affect the road situation, especially in the morning and evening hours,” forecasters note.
