Details: Golob stated that Slovenia and several more NATO states united to promote a single methodology for calculating defense costs in the coming weeks and submit to the Alliance Secretary General’s proposal Mark Rutte.

The Slovenian Prime Minister noted that NATO does not have a single standard that it is considered to be safety expenditures.
Slovenia will support the proposal to include investments in the EU defense industry before this definition, he said.
“We cannot afford to spend 5% of GDP on defense and remain competitive, if we cannot combine these two areas,” Holob said.
