Slovakia plans to hold negotiations with the European Union on extending the validity of exemptions from sanctions on Russian oil.

About this informs Bloomberg.

The exception, which expires on December 5, allows the only oil refinery in Slovakia – Slovnaft (owned by the Hungarian group MOL) – to export petroleum products made from Russian oil to the Czech Republic.

It is noted that without this permission, Slovakia will be able to produce products only for the domestic market.

“There will be huge consequences” if Slovnaft is unable to process Russian oil, Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar said, adding that the Russian Federation was a reliable partner.
