THE skier who famously suffered a frozen penis at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics has been frozen out of the Milan-Cortina Games.

Remi Lindholm had the worst time out of everybody who competed at the last Olympics, which were marred by strict Covid restrictions, when his manhood got extremely cold in subzero temperatures.

But the event was delayed by an hour and then shortened to 28 kilometres due to high winds and freezing conditions.

The International Ski Federation (FIS) made the decision at the time for safety reasons “to reduce the time of exposure of athletes in extreme conditions”.

Yet that was still enough time outside for him to have an issue with his bits below the waistline amid bitingly cold temperatures that dipped to minus 17 degrees Celsius.

Speaking to Finnish press at the finish line, he said: “You can guess which body part was a little bit frozen when I finished…

“It was one of the worst competitions I’ve been in. It was just about battling through.”

A heat pack was needed to thaw out his appendage once the race was over but Lindholm admitted: “When the body parts started to warm up after the finish, the pain was unbearable.”

Sponsors and PRs jumped on this story and there were some strange offers on the table when his fame grew.

CamSoda – an adult entertainment webcam company – tried to sign him up to a five-year, six-figure sponsorship deal to be the new face of their ‘Penis Puppet’ line.

News of his bizarre problem created headlines around the world at the time but he is not part of the 103-strong Finland squad that has travelled to Italy for the 25th Winters.

That is because last year he had suffered a stress fracture of the sacrum and he faced a long rehabilitation period.

The sacrum is a shield-shaped bony structure that is located at the base of the lumbar vertebrae and is connected to the pelvis.

On May 26, 2025, he published photos of himself on social media using crutches to stand up and resting naked in a sauna.

Lindholm said in a pot: “Here we go. Ran some pulls with (colleague) Miro and my back hurt.

“The result is a strain fracture in the cruciate bone and a break from training for a little longer.”

It appears that while he did return to skiing during this season, he was overlooked for selection by Finnish bosses.

And while temperatures at the Tesero Cross-Country Skiing Stadium in Val di Fiemme will not be as bad as China last time, Lindholm is going to be absent from the Olympic competition.
