Sixth medal for Ukraine. Zakharev won bronze at the World Boxing Cup

From November 16 to 20, the final series is held in the Indian city of Greater Noida Boxing World Cup under the auspices of World Boxing, an international sports organization that regulates amateur boxing.

More than 130 boxers from 19 countries took part in the tournament, who will compete for twenty prize sets – ten for men and ten for women. No more than eight participants compete in each weight category, the competition began with the 1/4 final stage.

A famous Ukrainian boxer Yuriy Zakharevwho competes in the weight category up to 70 kg, left the tournament at the semi-final stage, but became the winner of the bronze award.

The Ukrainian was defeated in a tense confrontation with Nurbek Musral, losing by split decision. Zakharev brought the sixth bronze award to his team’s coffers.

After Yuri’s departure, there were no participants from Ukraine left at the tournament. The finals of the World Boxing Cup will take place on Thursday, November 19.
