President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky celebrated the state awards of Ukrainian soldiers who participate in surgery in the Kursk region. This was reported on Thursday, February 6, in his press service.
The head of state noted that, thanks to the Kursk operation, which began exactly six months ago, it was possible to prevent the new Russian offensive on Sumy and Kharkiv, returning the war to the territory of the Russian Federation itself.
“The aggressor and offender can and should be killed at home. The occupier can and should be given surrenders in his territory. And this is not only fair, it is also effective – to protect life in our country and in general in Europe. The Kursk operation clearly explains the meaning of the principle of “peace through power”, “Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
According to him, the Kursk operation gave Ukraine a significant replenishment of the exchange fund and delayed strong Russian units into the territory of the Russian Federation.

As a result of combat operations, 84 fortifications, 36 firing positions, six warehouses of ammunition, composition of fuel and lubricants, 73 units of automotive equipment, six BBM, five tanks, a radar station and an artillery system were liquidated.

Sergeant Alexander Tarkovsky. In the Kursk region, he managed the actions of advanced assault groups and groups of fire support, conducted aerotevic with the help of UAV operators. The units destroyed several infantry branches, armored vehicles and cars, captured about 10 invaders and received important information on the placement of enemy forces and means.
