Sinner started in Bersa, starting the way to the title and the first step of the rating

The second racket of the world in men’s singles Yannick Sinner (Italy) had a confident start at the ATP 1000 tournament in Paris, France.

In the second round, the Italian lost in two sets Zizu Bergs (Belgium, ATP 41) in 1 hour and 29 minutes.

Sinner played against Bergs for the first time. Yannick’s next opponent will be the representative of Argentina, Francisco Cherundolo.

Sinner extended his winning streak to six matches. Last week he became the champion of the five hundred in Vienna.

Yannick won his 48th of his last 50 games, not counting the matchup against Carlos Alcaraz. In 2025, apart from Carlos, only Alexander Bublyk and Tallon Grikspor could beat Yannik.
