Sinner named the reason for missing the Davis Cup final

Yannick wants to prepare well for the next season”, — write: sport.ua

Italian tennis player Yannick Sinner (ATP 2) explained why he decided not to participate in the Davis Cup final, which will be held from November 18 to 23 in Bologna:

“I won the Davis Cup twice. The team and I made this decision because the end of the season is very long and I need an extra week off to start training earlier. The goal is to be in the best possible shape for Australia. I haven’t been in the best shape for the last two years due to lack of time, so we decided this was the right move.”

It should be noted that in 2025, Sinner won the Australian Open and Wimbledon, and also reached the finals of Roland Garros and the US Open, where he lost to Carlos Alcaraz. At the same time, Yannick lost the first place in the ATP ranking to the same Alcaraz.
