According to Sibiga, such a temporary ceasefire is important, because “this is in no way frozen conflict.”
“It is only an attempt to start the way to end the war in a fair way. It is also a step that demonstrates who is actually interested in peace,” he said.
The Foreign Minister stressed that it is also important that “the statement is directly recorded by the US recovery of intelligence and military assistance to Ukraine.”
“In addition, the statement sends a positive signal directly from the leaders of Ukraine and the US on the signing of the mineral resource agreement. Moreover, it directly connects this agreement with the guarantee of the US long -term prosperity and security of Ukraine. This is what the Ukrainian side sought,” he added.
We will remind, as a result of the meeting in the Saudi city of Jedda on March 11, Ukraine agreed to the immediate introduction of a 30-day ceasefire regime, if Russia also goes on such a step.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said it would concern “not only rockets, drones and bombs, not only in the Black Sea, but also the entire front line.”
And US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the states would submit to Russia a proposal for a 30-day “ceasefire” in Ukraine and hope for its consent.
