Dynamo coach Oleksandr Shovkovskii talked about how the team managed to beat Shakhtar 2:1 in the Ukrainian Cup match and reach the quarterfinals.
“Of course, it’s nice to win in a cup match against our main rival. But we understand very well that this is an intermediate result, and we need to be calmer both when the result is not what we want and when we win. I thanked the boys for the second half, and in the first we treated Shakhtar with too much respect.”
“The second half is another thing. You need to be bolder, but success must be earned by your work and smart actions. You have to earn your fortune. With our actions in the second half, with our work, we deserved it. I am satisfied with that.
“We haven’t completed the task in the Cup of Ukraine yet, but one of the main favorites has now been left behind,” said Shovkovskyi.
