The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received resignation statements from Denys Shmyhal and Mykhailo Fedorov. Information about this was confirmed by the Speaker of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk. Deputies plan to consider these applications in the near future in accordance with the procedure established by law.

According to the speaker, the documents have already been registered, and the parliament will act in accordance with the prescribed procedure. This is the standard procedure for considering such applications, without extraordinary or closed decisions.

“The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received applications for resignation. People’s deputies will consider them in accordance with the law in the near future,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk. It is expected that the issues may be brought up for consideration during one of the upcoming plenary sessions. That’s when the parliament will make a decision — to support the resignations or to reject the submitted applications.

So far, the details of the reasons for submitting applications have not been publicly announced. It is also not reported whether these decisions are related to possible changes in the composition of the government or to wider personnel reshuffles.
