Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation on July 11 conducted searches at the House of the Head of the Center for Anti -Corruption Vitaliy Shabunin, as well as in the military unit near Chuguev, where he is currently serving.
This was reported by the executive director of the CPC Dariya Kaleniuk.
According to her, law enforcement officers seized a phone from Shabunin, which makes it impossible to communicate with him. Meanwhile, in his Kiev home where the family lives, investigators took away the equipment: phones, computers, tablets. The searches took place without a court order and in the absence of a lawyer.
“This happens in very extraordinary cases. They did not wait for the lawyer, started a search without him, he came at the end, ”Kaleniuk said.
She suggests that the case may be related to Shabunin’s eccount and his business trips to the NAPC. Also in the media and Telegram channels were spreading versions of the alleged use of a car transferred by volunteers for the needs of the Armed Forces.
Kaleniuk stressed that Shabunin voluntarily mobilized on the first day of a full -scale invasion and had rotation in the east. In her opinion, the pressure from law enforcement officers is related to Shabunin’s public anti -corruption activities and criticism of power.
The CPC is currently trying to find out Shabunin’s residence and attract protection.
Earlier, we wrote that the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine (VAKS) abolished the next NABU detective on the closure of criminal proceedings related to a fictitious business trip of a mobilized activist Vitaliy Shabunin from the 207th Terroboron Battalion to the National Agency for Corruption (NACC).
