Training will take place in 7 educational institutions in several regions with the assistance of the EU representation.
As Deputy Minister of Education for Digital Development Dmytro Zavhorodniy said, this is a pilot project in which Ukraine is assisted by the EU representation.
“Teachers of the first institutions were trained at the expense of our partners, both on drone operators and in general – how to handle them and how to teach it. These institutions have already received drones and the corresponding material equipment… We have other institutions that are gradually introducing such courses as in in the format of group work, as well as in the format of professional development,” said Zavhorodny.
He emphasized that this profession involves the skills of the operator of civilian drones and their use in various conditions in various professions. The deputy minister noted that civilian drones are used, in particular, in construction, the agricultural sector, topography, as well as in cinematography and in general in the media. Therefore, many professions introduce such skills.
At the same time, Zavhorodniy emphasized that in the near future Ukraine will introduce training in the management of military drones.
“Training on the same FPV drones will be included in the general education program of the defense of Ukraine, and all those seeking education will be taught this in schools, vocational training institutions, and colleges as well. This will happen from September,” he said.
