According to the report of the capital’s law enforcement officers, investigators have also started criminal proceedings under Article 338 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – insulting state symbols.“We are talking about the photo used in the video, where probably one of the members of the group of minors stepped on the national flag of Ukraine,” the police said.
In addition, in relation to all minors, the police sent appeals to guardianship and guardianship bodies, educational institutions, and the children’s service to check the conditions of upbringing of teenagers. The police filed administrative reports against the parents of four of them under Article 184 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (failure to fulfill the duties of raising children by parents or persons replacing them).
The police reminded that a pre-trial investigation under Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (carrying, storage, acquisition, transfer or sale of firearms).
Scandal with majors in Kyiv – what is knownAs UNIAN reported, at the end of last week in Kyiv, “majors” blocked traffic and listened to the song “Я русский”. In particular, a number of publications regarding the defiant behavior of a group of minors in the center of the capital were circulated on social networks. The latter listened to Russian music, displayed weapons and committed a number of other provocative actions. Responding to the outcry in the networks, the police announced that they were identifying the persons appearing in the video.
Later, the police announced that they had found the Kyiv “majors” from the scandalous video. Six residents of the capital, aged from 14 to 17, turned out to be “bloggers”. During the search of the home of two minors, weapons, cartridges, an airsoft grenade, a knuckle duster, a knife, as well as computer equipment and mobile phones were seized from the company.
The police assure that the participants in the video are not “major” children, and their parents are not influential. According to Yulia Girdvilis, the deputy head of the communication department of the National Police, the information that parents of teenagers are influential persons is not true.
