In the undercard of this show, a spectacular match was held by British boxers – a promising one Johnny Fisher (13–0, 11 KO) defeated an experienced compatriot David Allen (23–7–2, 18 KO) by the judges’ decision. Many fans and experts consider the victory unfair and are sure that the veteran was robbed.
It became known that the boxers will hold a rematch to finally determine the strongest:
“Fisher’s representatives have already contacted me about a rematch,” Allen said. “I think I’ll be headlining a show in the UK next year from what I’ve been told. A meeting with Johnny is the most likely matchup in my plans. I am ready for this challenge. It’s one of my wishes, but you never know what can happen.”
Earlier it was reported that Oleksandr Usyk was recognized as the best boxer of the year according to CBS Sports.
