Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine has warned another attempt to kill journalist Dmitry Gordon. Four participants of the fighting groups and their coordinator were detained in Kyiv-everyone worked at the FSB of Russia.

The Russian intelligence service promised the perpetrators of a crime of $ 400,000. The organization of the attempt was entrusted with a deeply conspiratorial agent, a 36-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation from the North Caucasus. After 2022, the agent was given the task of forming an agent and combat network in Kiev from the northern Caucasus. They purchased cars, masked them under a taxi and installed hidden cameras to track Gordon’s routes, their location and security.
According to the FSB plan, after the armed attack, the killer had to escape on a motorcycle, get rid of weapons and hide. But the counterintelligence of the SBU disrupted the operation at the stage of preparation.
In addition to preparing the attempt, the attackers received instructions for adjusting shelling and tracking for foreigners fighting on the side of Ukraine – in particular, a citizen of the Russian Federation from the RDC Legion.
All detainees declared suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code (terrorist act). They are in custody and can receive up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
We will remind, the Security Service and the National Police detained five more Russian associates, which were commissioned by the aggressor in different regions of Ukraine.
