Verbatim special service: “Employees of the SBU detained the person involved in an attempt to escape from our country at the checkpoint “Krakivets”, through which he tried to leave the country.

It is documented how the traitor corrected the enemy’s missile attack on a local company that modernizes and restores strike and reconnaissance drones.”

Details: The SBU notes that in order to cause maximum damage, the lawyer gave the FSB not just the general coordinates of the enterprise, but the exact location of the technological workshops and UAV storage warehouses.

In December 2023, the Russians struck at its coordinates, as a result of which six Ukrainians were killed and 30 were seriously injured. Civil infrastructure facilities were also damaged from the attack.

According to the case materials, the traitor reported to the Russian curators about the consequences of the “arrival” and for further shelling of the city. Dnipro sent the coordinates of another strategic object located in the city.

As the investigation established, the agent’s communication with his Russian supervisor took place through a “connector”. He turned out to be an old acquaintance of the person involved, the so-called “first deputy head of the Krasnogvardi district administration of Crimea”, who works for the Russian special service.

Counterintelligence and SBU investigators documented the crimes of the Russian agent and detained him while trying to escape.

During searches of the detainee’s home and office, mobile phones and SIM cards with evidence of his subversive activities for the benefit of the Russian Federation were seized.

Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine informed him of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

h 2 Art. 111 (treason committed under martial law);

h 2 Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

Currently, the perpetrator has been remanded in custody.
