The document was signed in Luxembourg following the meeting of the head of the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office Alexander Klimenko with the Chief Prosecutor of the EU Laura Koveshi.
“The document opens a new stage in cooperation between Ukrainian and European prosecutors. In particular, it envisages the creation of a permanent communication channel for joint response to offenses concerning the EU funds allocated to support and rebuild Ukraine, ”the SAP said.
The department emphasized that cooperation between the SAP and the European Prosecutor’s Office will be an additional guarantee of transparent use of international assistance to Ukraine and prevent abuse of defense, humanitarian and reconstruction programs.
Klimenko’s visit to Luxembourg was supported by the EU Anti -Corruption Initiative.
The European Prosecutor’s Office is a body created to protect the EU budget from fraud and corruption.
