Rybakina held the sixth face-to-face confrontation against Aleksandrova and tied the score in personal meetings – 3:3.
Initially, Elena was supposed to play against Madison Keys in the final round, but the American withdrew from the competition due to illness.
Rybakina made it three wins in the quarters, beating Amanda Anisimov and Iga Svyontek in addition to Aleksandrova, and advanced to the semifinals of the WTA Finals with three wins. At the start of the playoffs, Yelena will meet the tennis player, who will take the second place in the group, Steffi Graf.
