Russian forces attacked a residential building in Semenivka, Chernihiv region, with an attack drone, Oleksandr Seliverstov, the head of the Novgorod-Siversky District Military Administration (RVA), said.

“Around noon on January 17, the enemy attacked a residential building in Semenivka with an attack UAV of the “Molniya” type. The drone hit the house of a local resident. Law enforcement officers came to help. During their stay at the scene, a repeated attack took place, as a result of which three policemen and a 59-year-old housewife were injured,” the local official emphasized.

According to him, all the injured were taken to a medical facility, and they are receiving assistance. The roof, facade, windows and fence of the building were damaged as a result of the shelling.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
