Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov held a productive meeting with representatives of Swedish defense companies during his visit to Stockholm.

This is stated in a message on the minister’s Facebook page.

The meeting discussed the implementation of new projects in the spheres of production of military equipment, artillery, optics, guidance and communication systems, as well as air defense equipment.

Particular attention was paid to the localization of production in Ukraine, the creation of joint ventures, the increase in the volume of supplies and the purchase of new types of weapons and advanced technologies.

“I am sincerely grateful to the Swedish defense industry for its constant assistance to Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, as well as to the Swedish government for its support,” said Rustem Umyerov.

The Minister of Defense also met in Stockholm with the Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, a true friend of Ukraine.

“I thanked him and the Swedish people for their constant support of Ukraine and willingness to deepen our cooperation. For us, this is not only a matter of partnership, but also of common security,” he said.

As ArmiyaInform reported, Sweden will finance the production of Ukrainian long-range drones based on the “Danish model”.
