On March 1, the troops of the Russian aggressor of Russia attacked one of the military units in the landfill of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces in the Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in the dead and injured, confirmed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Alexander Sirsky.
According to him, the invaders used the ballistic missiles of Iskander-M on cassette equipment.
Currently, a comprehensive commission headed by the Head of the Main Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is working on the site of the tragedy. At the time of the investigation of the head of the training center and the commander of the military unit, he was removed from the performance of his duties, Sirsky said.
The head added that he set the task for the commander to check the compliance of the requirements of the orders of the General Staff about the timeliness (Restriction) placement of personnel in the open terrain.
Syrsky also ordered to clarify the status of tasks for conducting military exercises outside the training points, if possible – in protected structures.
Earlier, on March 3, the commander of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces Mikhail Drapaty confirmed the death of the Ukrainian military as a result of Russian blow to the Baltic Station in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He did not specify the details, but according to journalists, it was a landfill of Novomoskovsky near the village of Cherkasy. Up to 39 servicemen could die due to the blow, the wounds were received – about 130, reported by journalist Yuri Butusov.
Dropaty declared the beginning of the investigation and assured that the guilty, who made decisions on the day of the impact, would be responsible.
The DBR reported that criminal proceedings were initiated by negligent attitude towards military service.
