“Preliminarily, as a result of the Russian attack, 8 were killed and 18 were wounded. One child is among the victims. Four people are in a serious condition,” the head of the OVA wrote in a telegram.
According to him, civil infrastructure, in particular residential buildings, was damaged.
People’s deputy from “European Solidarity” Oleksiy Goncharenko, who is in Odesa, also reported that eight people were killed. According to him, the strike was in the center of Odessa.
“The enemy insidiously directed a rocket at a residential building, an area of business activity. So far, it is already known about eight dead people, people were just going about their business. Necessary medical assistance is provided to the injured,” Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov wrote in a telegram.
Commenting on the situation, the Head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, noted that it was a targeted attack by the Russian Federation on the civil infrastructure of Odessa.
The day before, the local authorities reported two deaths, an injured teenager and interruptions in the supply of heat, water and electricity in Odesa due to the Russian strike on November 17. Two of the dead were employees of Ukrenergo.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
