President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Russian “Shakhed” have now become more dangerous than ballistic missiles in some places. He said this during a conversation with journalists on October 27.

“Shakhed” now in some places have become more dangerous than ballistic missiles. We shoot down a ballistic missile at least where we have a Patriot. And to shoot down such a large number of “Shaheed” at such a height, you need to use everything. Interceptors, F-16, helicopters – we use everything. And a lot depends on the weather. In the cold weather, we will see how we will use helicopters,” Zelenskyi said.

Regarding interceptor drones, according to him, Ukraine should begin production of 500-800 units per day in November.

“We need to train operators. Many mobile fire groups are stationed at one or another object, now we need many operators who will work with interceptors,” Zelenskyy added.

Every night, Russian troops attack various regions of Ukraine with drones, in particular “Shahedy”. During combined attacks, most of the means used by Russia are Shahedi. According to the latest data from Ukrainian intelligence, Russia can produce up to 2,700 such drones per month.

In August, the Ministry of Defense allowed more than 25 samples of Ukrainian unmanned interceptor systems to counter Russian drones into operation in the Armed Forces.
