Russian propaganda spreads misinformation about the alleged mass disappearance of teenagers in the Sumy region who were allegedly “forcefully mobilized into the Armed Forces.”

This was reported by Telegram of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

In Ukraine, they refuted the fake Russians about the mass disappearance of teenagers due to mobilization

As reported by the CPD, the Russians are spreading misinformation about the alleged mass disappearance of teenagers in the Sumy region. According to propagandists, these teenagers disappeared in January 2025 and they were allegedly forcibly mobilized into the Armed Forces.

“This information is an outright fake,” the Center emphasized.

They noted that as “evidence” propagandists show screenshots of messages about the disappearance of teenagers. But they are fakes created with an image editing program.

Taking several real announcements about the disappearance of teenagers in different regions of Ukraine during 2024, the propagandists changed the place and date in them.

Meanwhile, a new fake about the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, is spreading in the Russian Federation. Allegedly, he bought a villa on St. Bartholomew – the so-called “Island of billionaires”.

Earlier, Russian propagandists launched a fake, allegedly Ukraine is preparing to surrender the Kharkiv region.

Telegram channels are spreading messages about the alleged introduction of gas cut-off schedules after the cessation of transit of Russian gas. This is another fake.

In addition, Russian propagandists are spreading yet another false information about the alleged “announcement” of the removal of President Volodymyr Zelensky from power by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
