The number of injured as a result of the Russian missile attack on Odesa has increased to 55 people, the head of the regional military administration Oleg Kiper said.

Previously, it was known about 47 victims, 10 people died.

“As of 21:30, 55 people are already known to be injured, three people remain in an extremely serious condition,” he wrote in a telegram.

According to him, after yesterday’s Russian shelling, the situation with energy supply in the region remains difficult due to large-scale damage to the infrastructure – restoration work is ongoing.

“Electricity is already available in 6 districts of the region, partially absent in Odesa district. Centralized water and heat supply has been restored in Odesa,” added the head of OVA.

The Russian military launched a missile attack on Odessa around noon on November 18. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian military attacked the city with an Iskander-M ballistic missile.

In connection with the death of 10 people, tomorrow, November 19, a day of mourning has been announced in Odesa and the region.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
