In the border areas of Sumy Oblast, two civilians were killed as a result of Russian drone attacks.
Oleg Hrygorov, the head of Sumy OVA, reported this in Telegram.
“Two civilians were killed as a result of Russian drone attacks on the border areas of the Sumy district. A 73-year-old man was killed today in the Myropil community – the enemy targeted a civilian car. In the Krasnopil community, an enemy drone attacked another car. Two people who were in it were injured. ️Unfortunately, the 61-year-old man died of his injuries,” the message reads.
As Grigorov informed, the injured passenger is currently hospitalized, doctors are providing her with the necessary assistance.
OVA reminds that staying in border communities remains extremely dangerous. The enemy is targeting civilian transport, creating direct threats to people’s lives. It is possible to safely leave these territories only through an organized evacuation by armored vehicles.
Due to the accident, Sumy was left without water, technical water is being delivered to the microdistricts.
In the city of Sumy, some consumers are temporarily without power. The reason was a failure in the power system — an emergency shutdown at one of the power facilities.
