The number of wounded as a result of yesterday’s Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia has increased to 120 people, the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, said.

Previously, it was known about 113 victims. More than 50 people are in Zaporizhzhya hospitals, three of those hospitalized have traumatic amputations.

On January 8, the Russian military attacked Zaporozhye with aerial bombs, killing 13 people. As a result of the Russian shelling, high-rise buildings, an industrial facility and other infrastructure of the city were destroyed.

On January 9, a day of mourning was declared in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes committed by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are targeted.
