As noted, the aggressor forcibly changes citizenship and passports. The Kremlin ordered its subordinates to carry out 100% passporting of Ukrainians so that all of them would receive Russian documents.
In this regard, in the so-called “republics”, local collaborators intensified the process of replacing passports. They argue that from January 1, 2025, residents of the occupied territories of Ukraine who do not have a passport of the Russian Federation will lose all rights and opportunities.
“It has come to the point of intimidation of the most socially vulnerable sections of the population, which was under Russian occupation,” – adds the Central Intelligence Agency.
Passporting in the occupied territoryEarlier, the CNS reported that the Russian government adopted a resolution on the permissible share of “foreign workers” at enterprises, which provides for a significant limitation of jobs from 2024. In this way, residents of the occupied regions will be fired from their jobs if they do not receive Russian passports.
