Details: The publication notes that only about two weeks passed from the idea to the implementation of this technology. The first case of using such a camera became known due to the fact that one of the UAVs was “landed” by the Ukrainian military.

The photo of the downed drone, probably a ZALA 421 model, shows a miniature camera connected to a special Russian-made device equipped with antennas. It helps to detect the approach of Ukrainian FPV drones, which allows the drone to try to avoid an attack.

The publication notes that only about two weeks passed from the idea to the implementation of this technology. The first case of using such a camera became known due to the fact that one of the UAVs was “landed” by the Ukrainian military.

Despite these technical innovations, reconnaissance UAVs cannot perform complex maneuvers, so one possible way to avoid an attack may be to try to increase their speed.

Literally: “The overall effectiveness of such a decision remains questionable. However, the very fact that the enemy quite quickly moved to the practical implementation of countermeasures against anti-aircraft FPV drones deserves attention. And, obviously, the list of countermeasures will grow. In particular, it is possible that the enemy will try to install small EW devices on their reconnaissance UAVs”
