The document still lists the “experts” for negotiations: the first deputy head of information of the department of the General Staff of the Russian Federation Alexander Zorin; Deputy Head of the President of the Russian Federation on State Policy in the Humanitarian Sphere Olena Yodaeyevskaya, Director of the Second CIS Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexei Polishchuk; Deputy Chief of the Main Department of International Military Cooperation of the Russian Defense Ministry Vladimir Shevtsov.

That preceded:

  • On May 14, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he would be awaited from the Russian Federation about who would represent their side at Turkey’s talks and then determine Ukraine’s steps.
  • Zelensky also reported that on Thursday he has a planned meeting with Turkish President Recep Taiip Erdogan in Ankara, but if the Kremlin head agrees to fly to Istanbul, he and Erdogan will fly to him.
  • Presidential Office Andriy Yermak said that if Putin refuses to come to Turkey, it would be the last signal of Russia’s reluctance to end the war.
