Details: The fact that Putin will not appear in Brazil for the G20 summit, he himself announced last month. The Russian ruler explained this decision by the reluctance to “disrupt the normal work of this forum.”

At the same time, the owner of the Kremlin promised to find someone who “will adequately represent the interests of our country in Brazil at a high level.”

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry has already represented Putin at various high-level events, from the sessions of the UN General Assembly to that year’s G20 summit in India.

Brazilian President Lula da Silva previously stated that will invite the head of Russia to this year’s summit, with Brazil also outspoken which is “unlikely” to fulfill ICC arrest warrant.

At the same time, in June, Putin went to Mongolia, which is also a party to the Rome Statute, and avoided arrest. More about this in the article International law of force.
