Gorbunova is one of the largest enterprises in Russia’s aviation industry, which manufactures and repairs Tu-160 strategic missile carriers and Tu-22M3M/Tu-22M3 long-range bombers, which are used by Russian forces during the war against Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, a fragment of an unknown ammunition was found near a residential building on Mozhaisky Street in Kazan, reports Astra. Residents were evacuated.

In the morning of January 20, the Ministry of Defense of Russia reported the destruction of 31 drones over Russian regions. The message of the military department refers to one drone shot down over Tatarstan, six UAVs were allegedly shot down over the Kaluga region.
The head of the region, Vladyslav Shapsha, said that the wreckage of the drone fell on the territory of the enterprise on the outskirts of Kaluga. “A minor outbreak was quickly extinguished by rescue services. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties or damage,” he wrote.
The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on the report about the drone attack in the Russian Federation.
