“Rheinmetall just opened the first plant in Ukraine. The construction of the second plant will be completed soon,” Rutte said.
Rütte added that Rheinmetall has also seriously increased the production of ammunition since 2022.

In July 2024, the Rheinmetall company announced that it plans to open four military factories in Ukraine. The first plant intends to produce a batch of Lynx BMPs by the end of the year, initially ten vehicles will be delivered.
