According to preliminary information, the drones were struck by the installation of ELOU-AVT-4, which first cleans oil from water and salts, and then turns it into gasoline, diesel, kerosene and fuel oil, and a strong fire is also recorded in the plant and a black smoke column is raised.
The fact of damage to the NPP was also confirmed by local authorities. The head of the Russian region Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov reported that “two drones of aircraft type” on September 18 attacked the oil refinery “Gazprom of Naftohim” in Salaavat. According to him, there were no dead and victims, at the enterprise a fire began.

Gazprom Naftohim Salaavat LLC was attacking in May 2024. This enterprise is a member of PJSC Gazprom and manages the largest oil refining complex in the south of Bashkortostan, the Russian edition of RBC Ufa wrote.
The enterprise carries out a complete cycle of hydrocarbon raw materials and produces more than 150 names of products: car gasoline, diesel, fuel, fuel, bitumen, polyethylene.

Since the beginning of 2024, Russian refineries have regularly affected Ukrainian drones. Some plants failed the installation of primary oil processing, which required repair.
Most attacks by the Armed Forces General Staff confirmed, stating that the forces of Ukraine “systematically implement measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation troops, as well as forcing the Russian Federation to terminate the armed aggression against Ukraine.”
