“Currently, the person does not have the status of the suspect and he has not been imposed any precautionary measures … I would not disclose this information because of the secret of the pre -trial investigation, because the pre -trial investigation has not yet been completed and we would not want to comment in this part,” he said.
In response to the question of whether NABU can include Reznikov in witnesses or call for interrogation or conversation, Abakumov stated that other people may also report suspicion of evidence.
“If a person has commented or participated in a crime, his or her actions will be given an assessment. However, for us there is no difference whether it is a minister, a deputy minister, or another official. At this stage, we came to the conclusion that we have enough evidence to notify suspicion to five persons. Then we continue the pre -trial investigation, collect the evidence, after which it will be made or notified to additional a number of persons about suspicion, or the completion of the pre -trial investigation, sending this proceeding to court, ”he explained.

We will remind, NABU and SAP exposed the scheme of theft of public funds during the purchase by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine of food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the conditions of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation. It is about theft of over UAH 733 million.
According to the investigation, in 2022-2023, due to the scheme with “products sets”, two companies, controlled by one owner, illegally received more than UAH 733 million. Investigators explain that providing the army with food was due to the purchase of so -called sets of products. The catalog included 409 positions, most of which were almost not ordered.
NABU noted that the case was reported by five persons – the former head of the Department of Defense, the owner of the suppliers and the heads of firms. Criminal proceedings were opened under the articles on waste, attempting to waste and legalize illegal income.
