Another 13 residents of the occupied cities in 2023 registered candidates for deputies from the United Russia Party. Among them is the current deputy of the proletarian district council of Donetsk.
Some were part of the Donetsk City and People’s Councils of DNR. Four received “deputy mandates” in the so -called Volnovakian Municipal Council, Gorlovskaya and Yenakiyevsky City Council. The three headed “Starobeshevsk”, “Snizhnyansk” and “Volnovakian Municipal Councils of the DNR”.
The prosecutor’s office emphasized that the suspects in their political careers are promoting pro -Russian narratives using their “parliamentary voice”, they make decisions in favor of the invaders. In particular, they dispose of the budget funds of captured communities. In addition, they sign the worthless statements and send them to fake courts. Their actions help the Russian Federation to legitimize their power for the sake of undermining Ukraine’s sovereignty.
All 14 residents of Donetsk region were informed in absentia of suspicion of collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
“Citizens are wanted. The pre -trial investigation is carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, ”the message was stated.
