Repairmen of restoration teams will receive an additional payment of 20,000 hryvnias in February – Svyridenko

The government of Ukraine has decided to pay extra every month to the employees of the brigades that repair the damage caused by the Russian strikes. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko on February 4 following the conference call chaired by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

“Energy workers who restore our power system around the clock will receive additional payments of 20,000 hryvnias per month for work in emergency crews. The first payments will be credited to the salary card already this month,” the head of government said in the Telegram channel.

Also, the authorities “together with state companies” will provide targeted assistance for people with disabilities and single pensioners.

“The first 10,000 Heat Packages provided by the Naftogaz group have already been received by the residents of Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Desnyanskyi districts of Kyiv, Brovary and Boryspil of Kyiv region. The packs contain items to help get through the cold, keep warm, stay connected, and charge medical devices. We are expanding this support in the future, involving other large state companies: “Energoatom”, “Ukrenergo” and “Ukrhydroenergo”, Svyridenko added.

DTEK reported that as a result of attacks carried out by Russia on the night of February 3, the equipment of thermal power plants in Ukraine was damaged. “This is the ninth mass attack on the company’s thermal power plants since October 2025,” the report says. According to DTEK, in total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, its TPPs have been attacked by the Russian troops more than 220 times, as a result of these attacks, 59 power plant workers were injured and four died.
