Director of the Kharkiv Academy “Metalist 1925” Roman Melnyk He reported that the Metalist 1925 B team refused to participate in the 2025/26 season.

Thus, the team will not perform in the second league of Ukraine. The reason is the return of the main team to the elite division and the availability of the U-19 championship.

The Metalist 1925 B teams will not be in this season. For three boys of 2005, we have already found a lease. Everyone else is suitable for age to participate in the U-19 championship.

We also plan to make U-19 on the first league. There will be players who will have little playing practice and will develop at the same time in this team of players U-17 and U-16 of the Academy, ”Melnyk said.

According to the results of last season, the second team of Kharkiv Metalist 1925 scored 18 points and took eighth in the group B of the Second League of Ukraine.
