Rebrova was advised to call the Dynamo veteran to the national team of Ukraine

Former football player of “Vorskla”, “Kryvbasa” and “Metalurg” Donetsk Albert Kovalev believes that the leader of “Dynamo” Andriy Yarmolenko earned a call to the national team of Ukraine with his game.

“Andriy Yarmolenko deserved a challenge from Serhiy Rebrov for a specific match against Shakhtar. He is not thinking about the national team now. One more match with Shakhtar is ahead, then Zrynski in the Conference League, LNZ. The calendar at this stage in Dynamo is not easy. Although closer to the end of the match, it was noticeable that the Kyiv players looked fresher,” Kovalev noted.

On October 29, “Dynamo” and “Shakhtar” played in the 1/8 finals of the Cup of Ukraine for the 2025/26 season. The meeting took place at the stadium named after V. Lobanovskyi. Kyiv won 2:1 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the national cup.
