According to Putin, while meeting with the Chinese leader, he plans to discuss new steps to deepen bilateral cooperation. According to him, China is the main trading partner of Russia, and the settlements between the countries are “almost completely transferred to national currencies”.
Putin in particular boasted that Russia is the main supplier of oil and gas to China, and that countries “continue to work to reduce trade barriers for each other.”
Putin paid special attention to international politics, saying that Russia and China have “similar views” on principled issues of global security. He noted that the cooperation of Moscow and Beijing on the UN site is “unprecedentedly high” and “corresponds to the spirit of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation.”
Separately, Putin stated that a number of states of the West “actually revised the results of World War II”, allegedly “historical truth is falsified and silenced”, and Russia and China “strongly condemn attempts to distort the history of World War II.”
“I am sure, Russia and China – will continue to work together in the name of achieving a noble goal – the prosperity of our great peoples,” Putin said.
