The participants of the demonstration action gathered in front of the building of the Serbian public broadcaster RTS, where they observed a minute of silence in honor of the victims of the tragedy in Novi Sad.
The organizers of the protest were students of Belgrade University. They expressed outrage at the lack of action to investigate the collapse of the roof of the railway station in Novi Sad, which killed 15 people last November.
The students also indicted President Aleksandar Vučić and his right-wing populist SNS party, accusing them of corruption. However, the authorities reject all accusations.
For several weeks, young people from various universities in the country, including Belgrade, Kragujevac and Novi Sad, have been pushing for the release of documents related to the construction of the station roof. However, their demands still remain unanswered.
