Prosecutor’s Office: Due to the Russian firing of Kupyansk, a person was killed, two more were injured

Due to the Russian artillery shelling of Kupyansk in Kharkiv region a person was killed, two more were injured, the regional prosecutor’s office reported in the telegram.

According to the investigation, the shelling happened on August 24 at about 4:00 pm.

“An 82-year-old woman was killed. A woman who was 35 was an explosive wound. The 83-year-old victim was diagnosed with an acute stress reaction, ”the message reads.

Law enforcement officers launched a pre -trial investigation into the commission of a war crime that caused the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Russian military regularly from various weapons – UAVs, missiles, booths, RSSUs – attacked Ukrainian regions.

The Russian leadership denies that during a full -scale war, the Russian army causes purposeful strikes in the civilian infrastructure of cities and villages of Ukraine, killing civilian populations and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful.
