President Volodymyr Zelenskyi emphasized the importance of responding to all Russian attacks like those that the aggressor has inflicted on Odesa and Kharkiv today. He said this in his evening address.
“We will definitely respond to Russia for everything it does. And it is important that such blows, each of them, do not remain without a proper response, not only ours. There should not be even a hint of normalization of Russian terror — of getting used to it,” the President said.
The head of state noted Britain’s new decision regarding sanctions against the shadow tanker fleet of the Russian Federation, according to which 30 tankers were subject to restrictions.
“This is an important step. And it would be right for European partners — at the level of the entire EU — as well as other partners to support such sanctions. The less Russian excess profits from oil, the less Russia will be able to wage war. This is an obvious connection. A connection that should work for the sake of real peace,” he said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyi also reported that today at the meeting of the Stavka there were relevant reports and analysis of experience in repelling Russian strikes on energy.
“The best results of specific units should be spread to all objects, to everyone who carries out protective work,” he emphasized.
The production and supply of drones, missiles, and other weapons were also discussed.
“All weapons tasks for this year will definitely be completed. Also for the next one. Chief of Staff Syrsky reported separately – there was a long conversation about all the key parts of the front, as well as about the Kursk operation,” added the President.
