In particular, national security adviser Mike Voltz stated the need for territorial concessions by Ukraine to reach peace with Russia, and the speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson hinted at the possibility of changing the Ukrainian leadership.
Senator Lindsey Graham also expressed doubts about Zelensky’s ability to “restore the confidence of Americans” after the incident with Trump, assuming the possibility of replacing it.
However, other American politicians, such as Senator Bernie Sanders, strongly opposed such calls, emphasizing the importance of supporting Ukraine and its current leadership in the fight against Russian aggression.
